Abstract
Microstrip patch antennas have recently gain much attention due to their simple construction, low cost, minimum weight and high performance over wide range of frequencies and the fact that they can be effortlessly integrated with circuits. In this paper, an E-shaped multiband antenna was studied in order to determine its performance parameters as regards to wireless application. The performance of the antenna was analyzed in terms of bandwidth, return loss, directivity and VSWR. The antenna is designed and simulated using CST studio suite 2019. The substrate is FR-4. The result obtained from the simulation shows that the multi band antenna operate at S-band at 2.9783 - 3.104 GHz with return loss of -15.58 dB, 4.1879 – 4.2697 GHz; return loss of -17.832 dB, 5.984 – 6.224 GHz; return loss of -19.518 dB and 6.5783 – 6.7611 GHz; return loss of -23.17 dB.
