For Reviewers

Peer Review Process

How manuscripts move from submission to publication at SJARD.

SJARD operates a blind review policy. Manuscripts are reviewed by editorial board members or other qualified persons, and reviewers’ identities are not disclosed to authors.

  1. Submission — the author submits online with evidence of payment of the processing fee and receives a reference number.
  2. Plagiarism screening and editorial check — the manuscript is screened with Turnitin and checked for scope and formatting. The managing editor may reject it, ask the authors for clarification, or send it for review.
  3. Reviewer assignment — independent reviewers with relevant expertise are invited.
  4. Peer review — reviewers complete a structured evaluation and recommendation.
  5. Editorial decision — within two to four weeks of submission, the editor decides to accept, request minor or major revision, or decline.
  6. Revision — authors revise and respond point by point; revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers.
  7. Copyediting and production — accepted manuscripts are copyedited and typeset after payment of the publication fee.
  8. Publication — the article appears in the next issue (June or December), in print and online.

Authors can follow each stage in real time from their dashboard and are notified by email at every step.
